In order to reduce road traffic noise in South Korea, noise barriers and soundproof tunnels had been mainly used to prevent noise propagation in the past. However, they are not fundamental solutions to road traffic noise because the noise reduction effect varies depending on the location of the countermeasure point and they aggravate the urban landscape. Meanwhile, low noise pavement is being researched as a countermeasure to sound sources among the road traffic noise reduction measure. Low noise pavement road is one of the ways to reduce the size of noise sources and is regarded as an effective countermeasure to reduce the road traffic noise because it is possible to reduce the noise to a certain degree regardless of the location of the countermeasure point. However, the installation and maintenance of low noise pavement roads are difficult in South Korea because the related maintenance methods and process test standards for noise measurement methods have not been established. So in this paper introduces the research on the noise measurement and maintenance of low noise pavement roads in South Korea using the ISO measurement method.", }
