In this study, Three-dimensional Navier-Stokes equations and the simplified Ffowcs Williams and Hawkings(FW-H) equation were solved to predict the unsteady flow field and the noise, respectively. The noise of an axial cooling fan in an outdoor unit was measured in semi-anechoic room, and then compared with the result from computational aeroacoustics. The predicted noise obtained from computation agreed qualitatively with one of the experiment. The sound sources were found at the tip and at suction side of each blade.", }
