This manuscript analyzes the impact of aerodynamic factors on silencers of the exhausts fans. The high aerodynamic resistance makes it impossible to use certain types of dissipative silencers. For the analysis of changes in the aerodynamic characteristics of the gas path used specialized software package. Mathematical modeling results show the effect of the aerodynamic drag on the selection of the dimensions of dissipative silencers, their type and location of their placement in the complex gas duct. In a complex gas duct aerodynamic factors are particularly strong influence on the choice of the silencer. It is necessary that the elements of the silencer not only reduce noise but also reduce aerodynamic drag. This is achieved by a special sound absorbing plates lining bends, as well as the use of special sound-absorbing structures with channel expansion. It is shown that the distance from the location of the baffle silencer up to the bend could influence to aerodynamic drag. Examples of practical application of the installation of silencers are given.", }
