In the latter mainly wheel running surfaces regarding wheel flats and corrugations are essential and on the track side impact noise at poor welds, switches and insulation joints as corrugation can be surveilled. Also some maintance processes as rail grinding according to DIN EN 13231-3:2012 criteria is done more and more which is accoustically insufficient in general . To take into respect the "acoustic roughness criteria "required by DIN ISO 3095:2013. is regarded too expensive by most infrastructure undertakings. After re-present the "acoustic criteria " in the form of limit roughness that can exist on rails after re-profiling, the acceptance of acoustic grinding work will be discussed in this presentation also.", }
