Then specific studies to analyze solutions for highway traffic noise, night leisure zones, planning projects and mobility, involved different City Council departments in noise management. First noise map for the whole city, 2003, starts the studies for action plan on different aspects: planning in future development areas, urban improvement, road barriers, traffic management, etc. This experience supports the European Strategic Noise map in 2011, that also includes soundscape methods to asses different sound environments considering emblematic images of the city: "Comb of wind", seafronts, parks, Old Part,...Soundscape is an opportunity for a city along sea coast with strong waves days and whose main festival is 24 hours of drum melodies: La Tamborrada. The action plan proposes 10 action lines and is being developed for zone studies, whose results will be presented at the conference, focusing mainly on mobilty and traffic management. In 2015 the "Amara" action plan was defined and now other sectors are being decided. The paper will summarize the Donostia-SanSebastian experience in different noise situations: night leisure zones, planning, traffic managemet, soundscape, etc., as an example for other cities.", }
