abstract = "The paper describes the results obtained from a continuous noise monitoring campaign in an area affected most of all by nightlife activities during the summer season. More in details the campaign took place in the central part of a big city, in six parallel positions, over a period
of three-months. A statistical analysis has been carried out on the large dataset to determine average noise levels exposure. Together with this, a new technique able to separate the contribution of the recreational noise (music and anthropic) from the other sources in the area as road traffic,
has been implemented. The achieved results are presented in several formats.",
