A FEM model of a cylindrical stiffened hull with a foundation is established. By changing the size and shape parameters of foundation, Influence homogenization of foundation impedance on the underwater noise characteristic of the cylindrical stiffened hull is discussed in details. Research shows that the homogenization of foundation impedance has significant influence on the underwater noise radiation of cylindrical stiffened hull. The more homogeneous the foundation impedance is, the less sound pressure level the cylindrical stiffened hull has. To reduce the underwater noise radiation of ships, more homogenous the foundation impedance should be designed.", }
