Though boundary element approaches have been used to predict partial enclosure insertion loss with good results, modifications to models require time for remeshing and solving. In this work, partial enclosures are simulated using simple plane wave techniques. Results are compared to boundary element analysis and measurement with excellent agreement. Insertion loss trough frequencies are accurately predicted. The ease of making modifications to the partial enclosure design is then demonstrated by changing opening location and size.", }
