The noise situation inside the structures is determined by the many an varied forms of noise sources. The greatest challenge is often to predict the energy flow in the structure from a source to some receiving end like a passenger compartment or some other space. Various methods like for example FEM, SEA and the waveguide model have been used for these types of predictions. The waveguide model is a simple straight forward technique without some of the anomalies inherent to the basic SEA formalism. It is shown that the waveguide model can be used to predict the energy transmission across multiple joints and networks of damped and undamped structures. Predicted results are compared to measurements on model- and full-scale structures.", }
